Cheltenham Town has made a significant signing ahead of the upcoming League Two season by bringing in striker George Miller from Doncaster Rovers. The 25-year-old joins the team just in time to face Newport County AFC in their first match at the EV Charger Points Stadium this Saturday.

Manager Michael Flynn expressed his excitement about working with Miller, praising his finishing abilities and dedication to the team. Despite a previous knee injury, the club has ensured that Miller is in top condition to contribute on the field.

Miller, originally from Bolton, has played for various clubs including Bury, Middlesbrough, and Barnsley before joining Doncaster in 2022. He has also had loan spells at Witton Albion, Wrexham, Bradford City, Scunthorpe United, and Walsall, where he previously worked under Flynn.

During his time at Walsall, Miller impressed with 12 goals in one season and continued his success at Doncaster with 13 goals in 37 appearances. However, injury setbacks limited his playing time last season, prompting his move to Cheltenham Town.

Doncaster Rovers manager Grant McCann acknowledged the challenges Miller faced due to limited game time and expressed support for his decision to join a new team. Miller will now wear squad number 10 and join a host of new signings at Cheltenham Town, including Ryan Bowman, Matty Taylor, and Liam Dulson, providing additional attacking options for Flynn’s squad.

With Miller’s arrival, Cheltenham Town is gearing up for an exciting season in League Two, and fans can look forward to seeing the new signing in action on the pitch.
