So, like, police were totally at this protest in Castle Park, right? Around 150 people showed up on Saturday, May 24th to, like, make their voices heard. It was all part of this big national protest thing that was happening all over the UK. Crazy stuff, you know?
The Avon and Somerset Police were there too, with some officers carrying protective gear and wearing helmets. But get this, the protest was actually peaceful! Can you believe it? No arrests were made, and everyone just went their separate ways without causing any drama.
The whole thing was in protest against the current Labour government, according to the protestors. They were all about standing up against illegal immigration, net zero, inheritance tax, and attacks on farmers. Not really sure why this matters, but that’s what the organizer, Richard Donaldson, said. If you wanna know more about how it all went down in Bristol, you can check out our live blog. Just saying.
