Disney’s Muppets Christmas Carol is coming to The Bath Forum on Wednesday, December 11 for a special one-night event. The beloved Christmas film from 1992 will be accompanied by a live musical ensemble, adding an extra layer of magic to the movie experience. The tour will also visit other locations in the UK including London, Birmingham, Brighton, Swansea, Sheffield, Manchester, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Oxford.
In this adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic tale, The Muppets take on the roles of familiar characters, with Kermit the Frog as Bob Cratchit, Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, and Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig. The story follows the journey of Ebenezer Scrooge, played by Michael Caine, as he learns the true meaning of Christmas through visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future.
The live ensemble will perform the original score composed by Miles Goodman, along with songs by renowned songwriter Paul Williams. Audience members may even be encouraged to participate by singing along at certain points during the show. Tickets for the event range from £31.50 to £66.50, with additional booking fees.
On the night of the event, the box office and bars will open at 6pm, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the show starting at 7pm. This special performance promises to be a festive treat for fans of the film and families looking to celebrate the holiday season in a unique way.
