Winter Energy Bill Support Available for E.ON Next Customers

E.ON Next has introduced a new winter support scheme worth up to £60 million to assist eligible UK residents during the colder months. The energy supplier is dedicated to helping its most vulnerable customers by launching this initiative as part of a £92 million support package. The scheme is designed to aid customers in managing their energy bills not only for this winter but also for the future. It includes various forms of assistance such as direct credit to accounts, debt forgiveness, setting up future payment plans, and installing smart meters for improved monitoring and control.

Currently, more than 60,000 financially vulnerable E.ON Next customers have been identified as eligible for support through the Winter Support Scheme. Initially, these customers may receive a £250 credit towards their winter energy bills to alleviate heating costs. Further support will be tailored to each customer’s specific situation, which may include debt relief for those struggling with energy bill payments.

In addition to the Winter Support Scheme, E.ON Next offers various other forms of assistance to its vulnerable customers. The E.ON Next Energy Fund provides financial support, replacement of inefficient white goods, and debt forgiveness for qualifying customers. The energy supplier also provides free insulation through programs like the Great British Insulation Scheme, Energy Company Obligation, and Green Homes Grant Local Authority Delivery scheme.

Customers can take advantage of competitive tariffs such as fixed tariffs for one or two years, as well as the E.ON Next Pledge tariff which remains £50 below the price cap at average annual consumption. E.ON Next also collaborates with specialist charities to offer additional advice to customers facing financial hardship. The Priority Services Register is available for vulnerable customers who require extra assistance in managing their energy accounts.
